A birthday post three days too late.

Dear Friend,

I got over 1000 views recently! I can't quite believe it. But I did. And that's exciting news and therefore I decided to write this. I haven't been posting lately because I've been very busy. I'm sorry if you're sorry. If you couldn't care less, then yay it doesn't matter, then! :) But this post is going to be special and long not only because of the 1000+ views and the absence, but also because... *drumroll* *wait never mind don't* It’s my birthday. I don’t feel any different. But now, I’m officially a teenager. I don’t think that’s something that should be celebrated, but if I get presents, then who am I to complain? Haha. I’m adjusting to Indonesian life. With every day, I get less sad. I’m not going to say happier because though I smile and stuff I still don’t feel much joy. However I do love my schoolmates. This is how I’d describe them; my juniors/7th graders: really nice and good conversationalists. Fellow 8th graders: slightly girly and ‘weird’ (in a good way!!!!) that is different from my ‘weird’. Does that make sense? No? Okay. They’re slightly shallow, but not mean. Kind of gossipy. But really nice and I would be lying if I said I don't like them because they're fun. My seniors/9th graders: uber cool people. They talk about anything. Reminds me of my Singapore friends, really.

One of my seniors is a Beatles fan. Big Beatles fan. She’s the coolest. Haha that sounds so lame. But she is. Her mum used to sing Hey Jude to her when she was 5. I think that’s an awesome thing for a mum to do. The family’s into all the old and vintage bands. Which is great. And once I get my guitar, which is in two weeks, we’re gunna jam to The Beatles. And Ed Sheeran. And One Direction. Yes, she’s a Beatles fan but she also is a Directioner. And likes Ed Sheeran. I never thought I’d actually meet Indonesians who get my music taste even more than my Singapore friends. But I did. And that’s indescribably amazing.

I got a lot of nice presents. I'd post pictures but I don't feel like it and it's too troublesome. So I'll just describe them. On second thoughts, that's even more troublesome. Never mind. So... I'm supposed to get a guitar. My very first. And I'd thought I was going to get it today, but apparently I'll have to wait till the end of next week to get it, after the exams. Yes, you read right. My birthday is on an actual exam day. It sucks but at the same time it's okay because everyone keeps going up to me and wishing me a happy birthday. My twitter mentions were blowing up and I feel so loved. I am kind of sad though, because some of the most important people in my life didn't remember. But honestly, who am I to complain? I myself have the memory span of a goldfish. Still sad though. Oh, and as predicted, I ended up crying. I wasn't crying over how some people didn't wish me happy birthday, that's ridiculous.

I was crying because people do not understand me, most of all my parents. Get this; my mum thinks me wanting to sing all the time as my job is just a passing phase. Once she said that, I put on my favourite song, Boston by Augustana, and I cried and cried. That was in the car. I cried quietly. You might think it's pathetic but the thing is, I know for sure that singing is my biggest passion and I really really want to make it as a professional artiste. Then, at about 9pm, I started crying again. That time a full-out emotional breakdown. I crouched on the bed and wailed. You might know I'm a directioner, a fan of One Direction (please don't judge). And like I said before, singing and music is my everything. Not to mention songwriting, which is why I want my guitar. Anyway, you might know about the Bring Me To 1D contest? Otherwise known as the Go1Den Ticket contest? It's when directioners worldwide can compete and one from each selected country can go to NYC, spend a day with the boys of One Direction, and watch them at Madison Square Garden. 4th December being one of the days spent there. Which is my birthday. You have absolutely no idea how much I wanted that. Madison Square Garden. Is the place of my biggest dreams. To be able to be inside MSG would be more than a dream come true. Anyway, I couldn't even try out. I have an Indonesian passport, but I was in Singapore and when I actually came back to Indonesia, the contest was almost over. So that contributed to the big emotional breakdown. That breakdown lasted for one and a half hours. And that's not a lie. Mum told me. I was also sobbing because my happy childhood memories, times when my parents were mad at me and all sorts of past happy and sad memories came rushing at me and to top it all off, Ed Sheeran and Augustana and soulful artistes were playing on my CD player, so that got the waterworks going.

Boston

Sunburn

But enough with all this sad talk. I forgot to mention the presents. I will be getting that guitar, but now what I already got are;
  • a pair of orange jeggings from Uniqlo (they're really cute)
  • shirt that says "Love Me Or Leave Me In London" which I thought was perfect and matched the jeggings
  • skeleton band aids that I will never use because they are way too cute to waste on cuts and bruises.
  • a cute slouchy bag with "positive" words all over it
  • purple kind of boring diary but thanks :)
  • a really really good book: "Between The Lines" by Jodi Picoult and (her 15 year old daughter!) Samantha Van Leer
  • aaannndddd... that's about it. Oh, and some empe empe when grocery shopping. I don't know how to spell but it's an Indonesian snack that's yummy and (you guessed it) unhealthy. I'm always either eating super healthy wholemeal stuff, or gorging on oily fatty food. Never mind. Live Eat while I'm young. Before all the calories start kicking in. And yes we went grocery shopping on my birthday.
  • I got some Haagen Dazs too though. Vanilla. They didn't have Ben&Jerry's, so Haagen Dazs.
Birthdays are very emotional. But not so eventful. As we get older, the less birthdays seem to matter to everybody. I find that very sad. Birthdays should be the one day when everyone just forget everything and spend the day being happy with their favourite people at their favourite location. I had to cross that out because I can't do that. Not until I get enough money to go to England. Anyway. I remember when I turned 3 years old, all my relatives came and we had a simple party with a cake, lots of candles, and lots of children. It was fun because I was very close to my relatives and when they were there to celebrate my birthday, I was happy. The other kids blew out the candles with me, opened the presents for me, blew those party trumpet thingies in the babies' faces, and lots of other fun stuff that I wish I could still do. I have the photos of that memorable day tucked between the pages of my notebook.

Oh and just a little bit more to say. My crush wished me a happy birthday and sent me a virtual wink. That's a really good thing in case you were wondering. I'm just not going to bring attention to this part of this post in case someone who shouldn't read this reads this. But yes that got me over the moon. The joys of being a teenager. Sigh.

I know this post was pretty long, and I know it's sooooo long overdue but I get home at 6/7pm everyday from school, and it's the exams. My days are busy enough. It took two days to write this post. Sad huh. Some parts are written in present tense, because I actually wrote those parts on December 4 2012, but the other parts were written on December 5th. So technically, English-wise, grammar-wise, this is a rubbish post. But thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you guys so much for getting me over 1000 views! I'm quite happy. I'm overusing the word "happy" aren't I. Yes, I am. Never mind. It's just big news, you see. 1000+ views!!! :'D Made my birthday better, it did. Yoda talk yay.

And now I shall end this long post with my signature sign-off that I ripped off my favourite book.
Love always,
Tia xxx

P.S. If you're from Singapore and you're a friend of mine, hi. I miss you. And hi again, you probably were one of those who forgot about my birthday but hey it's okay. Just forget it. But it would be greatly appreciated if you were to comment a 'happy birthday' below. ;) *suggestion*

P.P.S. If you're from my current school and you're reading this, WOW you stuck out the horrible English that you probably didn't understand till the end! I'm starting to love all of you. Oh, and I'm going to fail BI. Shout out to Atika, Rumi, and Kalam for not complaining for having me in their group because I suck at BI and you should be complaining but you're not so thanks. Love all you #eightafros. Oh wow. A hashtag on Blogger. So lame. But yes, thanks for welcoming me as the 'new student'. xx

Here's a song that I can really relate to. I don't know how I went from being a crazy, loud chatterbox to being an introverted wallflower but I did.

First day of school in Indonesia.

Dear Friend,

It was my first day at 'the school' today. 1 being terrible, 10 being very awesome, I'd rate it a 6. My classmates are nice in general. Nice people. They didn't bother to get to know me and stuff but whatever. I don't really get their music taste, and I don't know them well enough to have my opinions, so I'm not going to say anything. However they are pretty nice. In the general meaning of the word 'nice'. I don't fit. Then again I don't really fit anywhere. I suppose I'm contradicting myself now.

Today was Class Decorating Day. I think this happens every half term? I'm not sure. But anyway, today, from around 10am to 4pm, we didn't study at all! We decorated the class, as you have probably guessed. Hehe. My class is 8afro. Cool name, huh? I know. I love afros, so it's all fine and dandy for me. :) The teachers are such nice people! They interact with the students and treat us like friends/children haha.

I have to go now... Proper schooling tomorrow and I have to sleep. Maybe I'll write another post this weekend, update on my social status and such. That sounds so stuck up eugh. But you know what I mean. I'm wishing myself luck. Maybe I'll wear my four leaf clover ring tomorrow. Hehe I will. All the worst subjects tomorrow, excluding IT! Oh gosh. I'll listen to The Fray again now, for moral support. Oh and I wanted to tell you, in the car on the way home from school, I was listening to Home Is In Your Eyes by Greyson Chance and I cried. I miss everything good and I haven't been happy for a long time. I hope I'm not depressed. At least I don't self harm. I hope to never self harm. Another thing I want to tell you, I can't go to The Fray's concert tomorrow and I'm really very sad about that. If anything, I wanted them to be my first concert. I teared up again 'cause of that. I'm such a crybaby. I really do love them though. They're one of the best of alternative rock. I love alternative rock. I really have to go now.

Love always,
Tia xxx

Here's a song by The Fray from their newest album. I love this song so much. When people aren't reliable, rely on music. When music isn't reliable, rely on God.

new haircut, new hi-tops, and a sleepover.

Yesterday I got lots of new things. A new haircut;

I either look like a small kid or a mum. Nothing like myself. It was supposed to look like this.

YA SEE WHAT THEY DID TO ME? D:

And yesterday, I also got some cool new kicks. Grey boots. Or hi tops. Can't decide whether they're boots or hi tops. My lovely aunt got it for me. From Australia. :)

and I slept over at my 2nd cousin's house. She's the only female 'cousin' I have. It was fun. She's an even bigger directioner. And Twilight fan. I'm not too into Twilight. But whatever. We took stoopid pictures and crazy videos. I only have some pictures with me. I'll post one here;
\

Yes, we're ever so pretty. I know. Stayed up till 2am. Then I just had to sleep. But it was itchy. Hair from the haircut was everywhere 'cause we didn't feel like showering before sleeping. We're such slobs.

I'll write more tomorrow. Bye for now.

Love always,
Tia xxx

1/11/2012

Dear Friend,

Well. I should think I'm getting quite addicted to Blogger. Which sounds extremely lame. But you can't expect 'cool' to come from a lamo. You might wondering why it is that I'm writing right now, because yesterday I said school starts today. Well, the school (I'm gunna keep referring to it as "the school" for select reasons) called Papa at work and told  him I'll only start next week Monday. So here I am.

Today, I finished reading an amazing sequel to an amazing classic. Mum bought it for me. Wishing For Tomorrow, it's called. A sequel to A Little Princess. You know, that amazing classic by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Wishing For Tomorrow is by Hilary McKay,  but it lives up to the original classic. It's so amazing, you have to check it out. What I love the most about this sequel is that it makes me change and rethink how I feel towards the characters. I actually love Lavinia, Jessie, and Miss Minchin now. However, I dislike Gertrude with a bigger passion. I think of Sara a little bit bit differently (still love her though), and I really love Ermengarde.

A Little Princess is a book close to my soul. And heart. A couple years ago, my grandpa (from Mama's side) gave me this book. Back then, I had only started getting into English books, and was at the Geronimo Stilton stage. Not Beautiful Classics stage. So I didn't read it. Until after he died. He was the greatest grandpa ever. He doted on me, I was the only girl in the extended family. Gave presents that I loved as a little girl. Just holding this book makes me feel close to him. Whenever I'm sad, I read this, and I feel better in a way. The story of a queer girl named Sara Crewe. I can relate to her, and sometimes I'd imitate her when she's all "princessy". I just love Frances for writing this book. It's timeless. I know I'd never be able to produce writing like this, hence my biggest ambition isn't to be an author. I appreciate books, that's it. I do write, you should know if you read my stories on Wattpad; http://www.wattpad.com/user/TiaHanifa. But it could never compare to Frances's, or JK Rowling's, or Roald Dahl's, or Shannon Hale's work. Obviously.

I also got my tooth pulled out at the dentist's today. Call me weird, but I love going to the dentist's. I find it exciting somehow. And they always say my teeth are good. LOL. Mild compliments affect me. I was also sad today. I woke up all sleepy and dreary, and later on in the day, looked through some memoirs and letters and photos of Singapore times. It all feels so far away. I miss them S'pore bruthas. The photograph my bestie Shirmaine gave me is right next to me now. And the box(es) of Singapore stuff on the other side. I really do miss them. I'd look around at my surroundings, or lie on the bed, and be "This isn't Singapore. I'm really not there and I'm not going back." It's so surreal. And not too much in the good way. However, this weekend I'll be with my cousins. They're all boys and they really are my bruthas. Grew up with them, still with them. They influenced me lots. Without them, who knows, I could be a girly, frilly, pink-mouthed, pop-loving bimbo right now. The horror. I'm scared for Monday. I don't want to go to school. On the plus side, I'd be less lonely. Hopefully.

I love you, whoever you are. Goodbye. :)

Love always,
Tia xxx

Indonesia- There goes the rooster! AGAIN.

Dear Friend,

Yesterday was like a dream. Not necessarily a good dream, but nor was it a bad dream. Just a dream. Today too. Yesterday, two very lovely friends of mine- Keerti and Sheryl, came to send me off at the airport. Keerti's dad, along with me, expected me to cry at the airport. I didn't shed a tear. It just didn't feel like I was leaving for good. It didn't feel like that was the last time (at least, somewhat the last time) being in Changi Airport. Even on the plane, I didn't cry. They had really good food. And I watched Step Up Revolution. A bit of it. Because it was only an hour's flight. Only when we were waiting for the luggage to come (mind you, the conveyor belt in Soekarno-Hatta Airport takes quite a bit of time), did I start reminiscing Singapore and there, in the crowd of other passangers, did I start crying. Bit embarrassing, but it felt good to let it all out. So, yesterday, after arriving in Indonesia, I was a bundle of tears up until I fell asleep to the sounds of a random Indonesian jazz band.

Mornings in Indonesia are lovely. Nice and breezy, and- there goes the rooster. Should be the 16th time it's cuckoo'ed today. Crazy rooster. But it feels great to listen to roosters instead of honking cars. I'm staying in my gramma's house in Indonesia, until my family can find and buy a new house. Gramma's house is in the neighbourhood, and it's pretty calm and old and VERY VERY VERY VERY hot. But I guess I ought to get used to it. Dad said we won't have too much air con here. I really miss my friends back in Singapore, even the school(s).

Did I mention, school starts tomorrow? Yeah. While my Singapore friends get several months' break (that I too deserve), I'll be starting at a new school in Indonesia. Only a day after I move. Ugh. A couple months ago, I went to be tested to get into the school, and I got through, simply because I'm secretly a genius. It's a very very religious school, and there are three different uniforms on different days. Monday; a white long sleeved thick material shirt with a blue pinafore that goes down to the toes. And long tights are encouraged to be worn underneath. WTF. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; even worse; a sickly green long sleeved thick material shirt with the same blue pinafore as the Monday one. Tights recommended. I suppose Fridays are best; white long sleeved thick material shirt same as Monday, with long white trousers. Still extremely warm. And for PE, it's an orange (not 100% cotton) long sleeved shirt with long green trousers. And everyday, it's a must to wear the head covering shawl us Muslims wear. So now you should be able to imagine my horror. But the school isn't all that bad. The English is better than the usual local school, since my school is a private one. Lots of religious studies though. I'm not very religious. Hopefully my faith will increase or something like that.

OH MY GOD. A man on a horse just went all clippity clop past the house. COOL. Yeah. And now I'm getting attacked by mosquitoes. Good day, all of you lovelies. I'll be watching Honey Boo Boo now, that show's hilarious. Goodbye!

Love always,
Tia xxx

24/10/2012 The X Factor USA Reveal

Dear Friend,

Hi. Today is a sad day. Got my report card, it wasn't marvelous exactly, but that's not why I'm so sad. Watched some pewdiepie on YouTube with a good friend after school. That isn't why I'm sad either. That was fun. I think I gained a six pack from laughing so hard. But when I got home, I watched the Reveal of The X Factor USA contestants. Here are the Reveal vids:

I find it so hard to accept that Jillian Jensen isn't continuing on in this competition. I'm not saying that she should go instead of CeCe, because CeCe is amazing too, in her own way. I believe they should both go. That scene where Jennel Garcia (who got through and is Jillian's BFF on the show) comforts Jillian and cries together, it got me crying.

That Reed Deming is so mature for his own age. He really wants this, I can tell, yet he still has the heart to congratulate the rest. I'm so happy Beatrice Miller is going through, her voice is heavenly. So very earthy and fresh.

Carly Rose Sonenclar is unbelievable. That voice coming from a 13 year old? Gosh.

And she got through! I'm happy.

I love The X Factor so much because it shows people like me, with the same ambitions, get the chance of their lives. It makes me feel so many things and I can relate. I swear though, I'm not being paid for these X Factor stuff. That's hilarious. I just do these 'cause I do.

Love always,
Tia xxx

The X Factor UK.

Okay, so- The X Factor UK. I cannot express enough love for that show. It produced some real neat stars. Cher Lloyd, One Direction (*SCREAM*), LEONA LEWIS, Matt Cardle, etc. etc. You know the list goes on.

This year, I really support James Arthur. And Ella Henderson. And I'd love for Lucy Spraggan to get signed, but she isn't really a reality talent show type of singer, more of a recording artist type. If that made sense to you. And I like Union J. I like their faces. George Shelley is beautiful. And they can sing. But JAMES please. Or Ella. #votejames #voteella. In case you don't watch The X Factor UK, here are some videos:

Ella Henderson's Audition

James Arthur's Performance at Judge's House

Union J's Performance This Week (Live Shows Week 2)

Lucy Spraggan's Audition

YOU'RE WELCOME.
They're amazing, aren't they? Hopefully this gets you to start tracking The X Factor, at least on YouTube. My favourite singing reality contest.

So, why I love James Arthur so much. To me, it seems like James is the kind of person who's pretty closed up on the outside, and usually doesn't show himself too much emotionally when he's doing everyday things. But when he starts singing, it's like he's pouring his soul out (like how I writemysoulout, hehe. I tend to use 'soul' instead of 'heart', because I find it more powerful and closer to the truth). You hear that pain in his voice. You literally hear it. He's incredible. He's gone through a lot in life, and he expresses it in his music. He deserves this, to get a chance to show people who he is as a person, and to share this heartbreakingly beautiful music with everybody. Music, to me, is a way to put your emotions and feelings into something beautiful. And that's what James does. I hope he wins.

On to Ella Henderson. Her first audition reduced me to tears. My grandpa died a couple years ago, and he was such a sweet and incredible person, who loved me. And the way she songwrites, it's unbelievable that she's only 16. Her voice too, it's so OLD. In the best way possible. Her voice is like that of an old soul. It's beautiful, and recently, Louis Walsh (one of the judges) said that the show has never gotten such a voice ever since Leona Lewis. Leona Lewis. I mean, that is HUGE. But I agree. She can be compared to Adele, she's that good. Only sixteen, gosh.

Lucy Spraggan now. She is the ultimate recording artist. She's a bit like Ed Sheeran. GENIUS, with her songwriting. Her voice too, it's very unique. She can't do a whole big range of different types of music, but when she does her stuff, it's mind-blowing. I hope she gets signed to a record label soon and can already come out with an album. I love her.

Last but not least, Union J. They're kind of like One Direction, minus the incredible one-of-a-kind personalities and that effect that One Direction just has on you. I don't know, I'm not really a mainstream type of girl, but One Direction just has this thing which makes me love them. It's so weird yet enticing. I mean, their bromances and personalities and shit, it's what makes them, them. ANYWAY, this is supposed to be about Union J. Union J has the looks, the character (at least, from what I know so far they do), the voices (boyband-type voices), and whatever else is needed to appeal to girls. They have a strong female following, and that's definitely going to help them in the competition. I think they could be big, they really appeal to us girls. I just have a soft spot for George Shelley. As long as they do the right songs, they could smash this and go on to rule the world, like what One Direction did. So boys, watch out.

So, I think that was it. I still can't believe I'm leaving Singapore. This is so weird, everything's still pretty much the same. Life is like a rollercoaster. Once you're up the next you're down. Oh Zayn, your wiseness has affected me. Never mind. My trainers are soaked, another big downpour today. My oh-so-tough friend Sheryl SCREAMED when the first thunder sounded. I actually ducked, the sound was so surprising and LOUD. But I actually don't mind, it reminds me of England, and I can dream that I'm actually there. Oh, and speaking of England, my relative who's studying there got me a guide about Stonehenge, and now I can add that to my collection of genuinely-from-the-UK-British-things. I sound obsessed, and I am. It's just it's a big part of my future, going to England. I want to live there, I love the weather, the places, the people, the hustle and bustle of London, the calm and quiet and general prettiness of the villages. It feels like home, even though I've never even been there.
Well this was a long goodbye paragraph. Really goodbye now, then. Good bye!

Love always,
Tia xxx

Doom And Gloom- The Stones are Rolling again.

THE ROLLING STONES ARE BACK. When I found out, I was so excited. And I'm not disappointed. Doom And Gloom is brilliant. BRIT-iant. So punny. But yeah, I love it. The critics say Mick's voice is a bit off, but I don't hear it in this. Then again, it could be editing. Anyway he's ancient, and I don't care though, it sounds amazing.

The Stones are Rolling again.

DOOOOOOOM AND GLOOOM.

Yesterday. Post-examination period. New torture.

Dear Friend,

Yesterday was really eventful. In the morning, I attended the auditions/rehearsals for the "Comm Arts Showcase" at my school. Basically, several people were picked to audition for a place in the showcase, it's a poetry/drama showcase. I messed up big time. Only managed to remember 2 stanzas out of 7. It was pretty sad. But I'm kind of glad, because imagine how much I'd mess up in front of the whole of Secondary 1 and special guests and all. And anyways I had fun watching the other performances, and one of my best friends got through, so I'm really happy for her.

So, after that, my friend and I went to 7-Eleven on our way home. Since I thought I'd be going straight home from there, I decided to spend most of my money on a bottle of Starbucks' Caramel Frappucino, which is like, the only caffeine thing I love. After fooling around at 7-Eleven, we got a call from a primary school to meet up with the other primary school friends. So we did. It was surprisingly fun to talk to teachers and each each other. We left the school after an hour, and went to a corner shop selling bubble tea that was a favourite among us when we were in that school. That shop also owned a DVD/CD/VCD shop, and that day, had a sale of 1 VCD for $1! I found Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, and since I'd recently lost my BluRay version, I decided to get this one, but I had to borrow money from a friend. It works though, so I was dancing my happy dance, but you wouldn't want to know how that looks like. After that we hung around, played Truth Or Dare, did some cray cray things, Would You Rather, danced to Gangnam Style, all the shit friends do. Then the boys left, and us girls went to a mall (my bus trip payed for by another friend), and pigged out and gossiped over countless chips and onion rings at Burger King. We ended up spending 3 hours just at Burger King, and made ourselves a group called KAQQ. It's a rebellion group. Rebelling what, I won't tell. It was a great day, mostly.

But I feel terrible, living on others' money. Even though I am going to pay them back...

Oh yeah. So all this was able to happen yesterday, because THE EXAMS HAVE FINISHED!!! *insert screaming and shouting and madness*

But here comes the but (But... but... so punny)... BUT (haha, another but) now there's a new torture: The Countdown. The countdown to when I have to leave Singapore. Now I have 16 days left. Which may sound quite a lot, but actually passes really fast. I have a lot to say on this subject, but I think that'll be for another post. This was long enough.

-16 DAYS TO GO-

Six Degrees Of Depression.

Wish I could go a day without being so depressed. Take away the romance reference, and this song describes everything. Spent the whole day being blamed and getting hurt and crying. In fact, still crying. I thought families were supposed to help you through this, not cause this.

Exams, exams, exams. And Science.

Sooo. To anybody reading this (probably nobody, haha), it's the exam period. Tomorrow's the last day of the exams, and I should be happy, but I'm not. Thing is, I usually don't really care about my academics, but today was the Maths and Comm Arts (English) paper. I usually ace English (totally not bragging), but the paper today was darn hard. And I pretty much guaranteed myself a fail grade for Maths. Like I said earlier, I'd usually not care, but my Maths tuition teacher's been teaching me again this year and I've never disappointed her before. I don't want to disappoint her just before I leave Singapore (yeah, I'm leaving...). She's the best teacher ever, and I'm just a terrible student. So yep.

And I'm not making anything better by writing a stupid blog post instead of actually revising for Science, which is tomorrow. I really suck, gah. Never listened during Science lessons this whole year, so I've still got a couple months' worth of revision. And it's fucking midnight. I wish my school didn't set such hard papers. I got A's all the time for other schools' papers, but when I sat for the Maths today, it was absolute torture, my God. I should probably stop writing. Rants like this aren't entertaining. Or deep and meaningful and shit. It's just a rant. I swear periodic tables should just flip over (referring to them as actual 'tables'). I don't understand them. And all the other fantastic, wonderful, and amazing facts that make up the horrifying subject of Science. My left brain doesn't work. I can understand notes and music sheets and art and literature and photography and music and beauty in general, all things that require my right brain, but symbols and xs and ys and numbers and formulae and terms don't make any sense to me.

I feel slightly better now. Whoever you are, wherever you are, thanks for reading this post, even though you're most probably nonexistent. I still love all you satellites (reference to Astronaut by Simple Plan. Great song).

Love always,
Tia xxx

Brief introduction to who I am and things I love.

"I ᴛʜɪɴᴋ ᴇᴀᴄʜ ᴀɴᴅ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ ᴏɴᴇ ᴏғ ᴜs ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ʜᴀᴅ ᴀ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ʙɪᴛ ᴏғ ᴜs ɪɴ ᴏᴜʀsᴇʟᴠᴇs, ᴇᴠᴇɴ ʙᴇғᴏʀᴇ ᴡᴇ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ʙᴏʀɴ. Aɴᴅ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ɴᴏᴡ ᴡᴇ'ʀᴇ sᴛɪʟʟ ғɪɴᴅɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴘᴀʀᴛ ᴏғ ᴏᴜʀsᴇʟᴠᴇs ᴀɴᴅ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇsᴛ ᴏғ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀᴋᴇs ᴜs, ᴜs." ― Tɪᴀ Hᴀɴɪғᴀ

Music is my soul. Stories my life. I can't wait to get my guitar.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Harry Potter, The Books of Bayern, A Little Princess, Cathy Cassidy's, award-winning books, good books here and there.

Coldplay, All Time Low, Ed Sheeran, The Script, OneRepublic, Snow Patrol, Birdy, Taylor Swift, Two Door Cinema Club, Adele, Snow Patrol, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, The Beatles, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Train, Oasis, The Fray, P!nk, Demi Lovato, and other good music.

I love red.

I've an obsession with red velvet cupcakes, moustaches (yes, I spell them with an 'o', ok). And the personalities of One Direction. They're closer than brothers, it's so special.

I adore band shirts, comfy skirts, blazers, and red trousers. Hi tops and sneakers and loafers and boots and floral flats. I always wear my signature beanie, Union Jack ring and genuinely-from-London LONDON keychain-cum-necklace. I like my hair braided.
